Alignment Services

align
Condition Monitoring Services has certified vibration analysts available to provide machine alignment services. Once alignment is completed, then vibration data can be collected and analyzed to verify the alignment was successful and the unit is running at acceptable levels.

Reverse dial and laser alignment applications are incorporated in conjunction with site inspection for pipe strain, base imperfections and mechanical runout of shaft and couplings to ensure best possible results.

Hot alignment applications are also offered for equipment that experiences significant thermal growth.

The graph below shows the benefits of a reducing vibration with regards to bearing life. Misalignment can also cause a significant increase in overall operating expense due to extra horsepower requirements. This extra horsepower expenditure can in turn contribute to poor equipment and plant reliability. Properly aligned machinery can reduce energy consumption by up to 5%. A 5% cost savings on a 40HP unit (used daily) is approximately $750/year, which will result in an annual savings of $15,000 in a facility running 20 similar units. When misalignment is not resolved, this translates into spending more in running misaligned units and essentially paying to reducing overall equipment reliability!

Ensuring your equipment is correctly installed with precision alignment stands provides an excellent return on investment.
