Training

A key element in maintaining an efficient predictive maintenance program is ensuring all employees are properly trained. By keeping a knowledgeable staff, the program remains intact, runs smoother, and results in an improvement in plant operations.

Course Offerings:                                                                                                        View Training Schedule

Best Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Practices     $495 per person
One day class designed to increase understanding and awareness of how PdM programs succeed (and fail!). Reduce downtime and increase ROI with a strongly supported PdM program. By utilizing the correct monitoring tools such as vibration, ultrasound, infrared, and oil analysis on a routine basis, catastrophic breakdowns can be avoided or minimized.
Course Objectives Include:
  • Understand the various components of a PdM Program
  • Understand key factors in both a program's success and potential failure
  • Determine the best technology to apply in your facility, as well as how they complement one another.
  • Understand the applications and limits of vibration monitoring, ultrasound, infrared, and oil analysis
  • Understand the importance of balancing and alignment as well as proper procedures
  • Learn the various factors to consider when determining ROI of a program

Adash Vibrio 4900 Data Collector Training            $795 per person
Two day course focusing on introductory vibration and utilizing the Adash product line to build an efficient in-house program.
Course Objectives Include:
  •  Understanding why and when vibration monitoring is beneficial
  •  Creating monitoring routes and frequency based on machine criticality
  •  Proper data collection techniques
  •  Become proficient using the Adash 4900 Vibrio Data Collector as a monitoring tool

Adash VA3 2-Channel Vibration Data Collector Training       $995 per person
This three-day course is catered to those who have purchased or are planning on purchasing an Adash VA3 2-Channel Vibration Data Collector for their in-house program. Topics include vibration theory, proper use of data collector, and modules on the analysis software and balancing capabilities.
Course Objectives Include:
  • Understand the various failure modes that vibration monitoring can detect
  • Become comfortable starting a vibration monitoring program, including route setup
  • Become proficient using the Adash VA3 Data Collector as a monitoring tool
  • Assign common alarm settings to machine data points
  • Navigate the Adash analysis software to generate reports including alarm lists.
  • Practice utilizing the balancing module on the Adash VA3

Adash VA4 4400 4-Channel Vibration Data Collector Training     $995 per person
This three-day course is catered to those who have purchased or are planning on purchasing an Adash VA4 4-Channel Vibration Data Collector for their in-house program. Topics include maximizing use of data collector and modules on the analysis software and balancing capabilities. This course is for the more advanced analyst or technician and will have less vibration theory overview.
Course Objectives Include:
  • Understand the various failure modes that vibration monitoring can detect and how to identify them
  • Creating monitoring routes and frequency based on machine criticality
  • Become proficient using the Adash VA4 Data Collector as a monitoring tool
  • Assign common and customized alarm settings to machine data points
  • Navigate the Adash analysis software to generate reports (including alarm lists), and analyze data.
(Analysis training is not provided, but how to manipulate the graphical data)
  • Practice utilizing the balancing module on the Adash VA4
  • Generate machine recordings that can be post-analyzed
  • Understand the ADS (Animated Deflection Shapes) module of the VA4 and its applications

Apart from the above curricula, CMS is proud to offer predictive maintenance services OR provide full support to those moving their programs in-house with the following customized training options:
  • Vibration Testing - Including Machine Setup, Data Collection Basics, and Vibration 101 (Introduction to Vibration Analysis). We have also teamed with Mobius Institute to provide more advanced vibration analysis training.
  • Infrared - Benefits and Uses, Thermal Imaging Basics, Safety Practices, and FLIR Infrared Camera use (including field training)
